Embarkment

I’m leaving to join the Peace Corps. Indonesia is calling my name: at this very moment, a high school is awaiting a new English teaching colleague and a host family is awaiting a new family member.

After ten weeks of getting to know my new country, its culture, its languages and its people, I will move to a small Javan town, where I will live and work for two years. This blog is where I plan on sharing what I see and what I learn.

While I hope to post updates regularly, I don’t know how much time I’ll be able to devote to writing, especially during my initial training. To hold you over, I’m posting a few links, both about Indonesia and the Peace Corps.
